SmartChill is the only control system that gives you all three of these chilling functions:
  1. Blast Chill to take any food product down to below 41º F as rapidly as possible
  2. Soft Chill for chilling delicate items without freezing, low density foods such as green salads or produce upon delivery
  3. Freeze Chill to take product down to 0º F as rapidly as possible. This can be done with full loads, unlike some brands which can only freeze partial loads).

Only Traulsen offers you three chilling methods.

Now you can select the appropriate chilling method based on each individual product’s requirements.
  1. Chill by temperature. Used in conjunction with the temperature probes, it lets you chill cooled foods from 135º F to a preset temperature below 41º F in approximately 90 minutes.
  2. Chill by time is ideal for chilling products you don’t want to put a food probe in, such as cakes or pies.
  3. Chill by product is a Traulsen exclusive. Designed to remove operator error, it allows you to preprogram all the chill parameters for dozens of individual products. All the operator has to do is select the product from the on-screen list.
