Energy Star

Energy StarIf you’ve looked for a new home or shopped for a new appliance recently, you’ve probably come across the Energy Star label. Traulsen was an industry leader in adopting Energy Star standards to commercial refrigeration products. Today Traulsen manufactures almost a hundred products that have earned the Energy Star label, equipment that saves you, our customers, money while saving the environment.
Energy Star is a government-backed program administered by the EPA, the Environmental Protection Agency. The Energy Star emblem signifies that the item is energy efficient, designed to help you save money while reducing emissions.

Started in 1992, the program has been a phenomenal success. In 2005 alone, the Energy Star program helped prevent 35 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions from entering the atmosphere. That’s the equivalent of the annual emissions from 23 million vehicles.

The savings extend to more than the environment. The energy savings for users of Energy Star equipment range from 10% to 90%, compared to standard equipment. The EPA estimates that Energy Star saved Americans $12 billion in utility bills in 2005*.

Here is a list of Traulsen’s Energy Star equipment.
