Save money. It's the responsible thing to do.
Traulsen has always been considered an industry leader in developing new ways to enable our commercial refrigeration products to deliver more performance using less energy. That is why Traulsen, an ENERGY STAR® partner since 2008, is a proud winner of the 2011 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence award by the EPA—the fourth time in a row Traulsen has been honored for its long-term commitment to energy efficiency.
ENERGY STAR is a government-backed program administered by the EPA, the Environmental Protection Agency. The program was formed to inform consumers and companies about products that save significantly more energy and environmental resources than similar equipment. The ENERGY STAR emblem signifies that the item is energy efficient, designed to help you save money while helping save the environment.

To date, Traulsen manufactures many products that have earned the ENERGY STAR label, equipment that saves you and your customers money. An ENERGY STAR listing means that on average, the product is 25% more energy efficient and 25% more water efficient than standard models. Some Traulsen ENERGY STAR-listed equipment can reduce your energy costs as much as 45%. And with Traulsen’s advanced temperature control systems accounting for much of these energy savings, that performance saves you more than energy costs: you can also increase your yields and reduce waste.

Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE). As a member of the Consortium for Energy Efficiency, Traulsen is engaged in an initiative to raise the bar for energy-efficient products and services. CEE is a nonprofit, public benefits corporation that is developing strategies for a market transformation that will bring lasting structural and behavioral changes in the marketplace to increase the adoption of energy-efficient technologies.
In the area of commercial kitchen equipment, the CEE is establishing clear definitions as to what constitutes highly efficient energy and water performance in cooking, refrigeration and sanitary equipment—percentile improvements significantly exceeding the top tier of ENERGY STAR efficiency requirements. Once companies submit verifiable and certifiable efficiency data, CEE-rated performance may enable Traulsen customers to meet new and stringent energy mandates or qualify for energy efficiency rebates.
